| 'Among Dinosaurs' exhibition is extending its hours to 9.00 pm. Posted: 29 May 2011 05:27 PM PDT The Umbracle exhibition 'Among Dinosaurs' is extending its hours to 9.00pm. Located in the Umbracle, is Europe’s biggest ever exhibition of robotic dinosaurs. The exhibition covers an area of 3,000 square metres and takes the visitor on a fascinating journey back to the times of Jurassic and Cretaceous. The exhibition, open continuously from 10 am and will be open until 9pm from today, have received nearly 300,000 visitors since opened last July. It brings together 26 robots of different species that look utterly lifelike and that can recreate a wide range of movements and sounds as a replica of the 27metre long Diplodocus or the 14 meters long and 7 meters high Tyrannosaurus Rex. 'Among Dinosaurs' includes also guided tours that are held the whole day and where a monitor tells the group of visitors each of the spaces and several curiosities of these giant animals. And on weekends, children enjoy the workshop "Sauri, Dino-saurio" that recreates an excavation and where kids become paleontologists and try to find fossils buried in the sand. There are also additional activities to the workshop, as the game of mini footprint and a cutout of dinosaurs. |
