Waterballs, nueva actividad en el lago del Museo de las Ciencias

El lago del Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe acoge hasta el 31 de agosto la nueva actividad ‘Waterballs’ para aquellos visitantes que se atrevan a rodar sobre las aguas dentro de una gran burbuja de plástico, con un tamaño de dos metros de diámetro. 

Dirigida a público general de todas las edades, esta actividad se realiza todos los días de 10:30 horas a 21:30 horas. La duración es de entre 5 y 10 minutos y su precio 5 euros.

Sand tiger shark are the only shark to gulp a breath of airfrom the surface and store it in their stomach, so creating a kind of inner float, sometimes they have red-brown marks all over their body ( these marks disappear with age) and these sharks are ovoviviparous, which means they give birth to the young after they have hatched from the egg in the uterus of the mother.

Beside others animals as sandbar shark, bull ray, eagle ray, sawfish, smooth-hound, sunfish, In the Oceans facility of the Oceanogràfic, there are 7 Sand tiger sharks, 1 male and 6 females, which the aquarists can distinguish thanks to specific marks or features. The biggest female is Africa, with a weight of 200 kg. and 302cm long. It also has 2 marks on the left pectoral fin.
