| Learn how to build a spectroscope in the City of Arts and Sciences Posted: 13 Dec 2011 04:27 PM PST Today Thursday, December 15, at 7.30 p.m. the City of Arts and Sciences will carry out the workshop ‘How to build a spectroscope’, given by Ángel Flores, Project Manager of the Centro Astronómico del Alto Turia. Spectroscopy is one of the most powerful tools that use science, particularly chemistry, physics and astronomy. Through this workshop, free of charge upon registration, the public will know how to build a spectroscope to observe the light emitted by different light sources and to verify their differences. This activity will take place at the Multifuncional Room of the Science Museum within the Astronomy Programme 2012 in its eight year running. This time the activities are focus on the question ‘what is the Universe made and what surrounds us?’ |
